The Greater Bandon Association is pleased to announce a new addition to its staff. Julie Luu comes to GBA through AmeriCorps via the RARE (Resource Assistance for Rural Environments). She will be coordinating and staffing the organization’s economic development activities during the next year.
Julie hails from California where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies and Sociology from the University of California, Berkeley. As a student, she held internships with the San Francisco Planning Department, the Western Transportation Institute at Montana State University, and the City of Palo Alto working on various urban planning and research projects. Julie hopes that her year of service with the Greater Bandon Association will provide an opportunity to engage in hands-on local economic and community development while making positive contributions to the Bandon community.
