The Greater Bandon Association has named the recipient of its Volunteer of the Month award. Allison Hundley of the Everybody At the Table (EAT) program was recognized as the very first winner of the new award. She was presented the award in the form of a plaque and a gift certificate donated by Edgewaters Restaurant at the November 2 meeting of Bandon’s City Council.

EAT has been providing a hot, home-cooked meal every Tuesday for those with limited incomes. Formed by women from seven different area churches, Allison has lead the program since 2004. In July, EAT celebrated its eleventh anniversary.

Allison is also a volunteer with the Bandon Feeds the Hungry fundraiser and for her church, Holy Trinity. She also has served as a member of the BandonCares steering committee since its inception.

The Greater Bandon Association will be honoring one of Bandon’s many volunteers that are making a difference in the community each month. Nominations for the December award should be e-mailed to julie@greaterbandon.org or mailed to P.O. Box 161 by November 25.
