2015 Bandon’s Night of 10,000 Lights

Bandon’s Night of 10,000 Lights holiday kickoff event is back! The celebration will on the Saturday, November 28th and features everything for the perfect holiday kickoff. The popular Nog Walk through Old Town is back and will run from 3:30 pm to 7 pm. Commemorative glasses for the walk will be sold in front of the Visitors Center on Second Street in Old Town Bandon. Along with the Nog Walk will be a scavenger hunt organized by Beach Loop Realty. Find trinkets hidden in Old Town shops and claim them for gift certificates and other prizes. Santa Clause is making a special visit to Bandon and will be in the Visitors Center parking lot from 3:30pm to 5:30 pm to take pictures so bring your kids and let them tell Santa their Christmas wish lists. Complimentary cookies, candies, pastries, and refreshments will be available for both Santa and everyone at the event. Finally, don’t miss out on the big Community Christmas Tree Lighting which begins at 5:30 pm in the Visitors Center parking lot. Come see 10,000 lights light up the night.

And for the first time, we’re extending the festivities to another weekend. On Saturday, December 12th, the celebration continues with the inaugural Lighted Parade at 5:30 pm. Light yourself, your car, your bike or anything and come be in the parade or come watch! There will be a grand prize of $100 sponsored by the Continuum Building merchants for the best parade lighter upper. A delicious display of gingerbread houses from the 12th annual Gingerbread Contest will be the McNair Building on the 12th between 10 am and 9 pm as well. The famous Nog Walk and scavenger hunt through Old Town Bandon also return and will run from 3:30 pm to 7 pm with commemorative glasses being sold in the Visitors Center.
